Center for the Healing Arts – The practitioners of The Center for Healing Arts are dedicated to the growth and healing process within the individual, and share the common understanding that a person’s health comes from the unity of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being.www.centerfor-healingarts.com

Physical Balance – David Hanyok, LMT, offers advanced massage at his practice in the areas of Neuromuscular, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Pregnancy and Geriatric massages. www.physicalbalance.net

Paul Pitchford – Having studied and apprenticed with masters of pre-Revolutionary* Traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition, and Tai Ji and Chan (Zen) meditation,  Paul has been teaching nutrition in the context of foundational healing for 38 years. This approach prioritizes three basic integrative steps in a person’s pathway to enduring health: a) awareness practices, b) mindful movement including yoga, Tai Ji and Qi Gong, and c) nutrition based on regional, unrefined (whole) foods. He formerly served as director of Asian Healing Arts and Nutrition at Heartwood Institute. He currently receives invitations to teach worldwide and has given seminars at colleges (including Harvard), schools of acupuncture, nutrition and various healing arts, and on major radio shows.

Paul is available for phone consultations. The consult involves filling out an extensive health history, forwarding him a current photograph and a 60 to 70 minute phone conversation. His current fee is $150 for this consult. I highly recommend it but only if you are motivated and committed to changing your relationship with food. He can be reached at WPAUL3@aol.com    For more information about Paul check out his web site at  www.healingwithwholefoods.com

Eclecticity – 13 John Street  Westminster, MD.   Shawn Lockhart’s objective is to promote the arts in the community by providing exhibition and performance space for visual, literary, and musical work of local and regional artists.  Consignment sale opportunities will be offered for art and fine crafts, books of local interest and by Maryland authors, and music cds by regional musicians.  An intimate performance space for literary and music events is available.  Eclecticity will also offer for sale used books and cds and will hopefully fill part of the void created by the demise of Locust Books.  www.eclecticityart.com
