2013 Spring Retreat

House Concert with Rick Galloway

Friday, April 5, 8-10 pm

Day Retreat with Jim Thomas, M.Ac

Saturday, April 6, 9am-5pm

The changes brought about by the passing seasons offer an opportunity for each of us to tune in to these subtle movements within ourselves. Each season calls to us with a unique message and healing opportunity. After a period of deep winter rest, spring calls us to emerge from our hibernation with renewed vigor, moving towards the light with our new vision that has been incubating during the long winter darkness.  We will attune ourselves with this transition with movement, breathwork, drumming, guided imagery and a seasonal acupuncture attunement.

Please bring your lunch.  Snacks and beverages will be provided.  Wear comfortable clothing and dress appropriately for outdoor activities; bring a journal, yoga mat, blanket, pillow and eye shade. Bring your favorite drum or percussion item if you have one, if not we have plenty!

Full payment of $140 is due at the time of registration (available on-line) for both events, $10 for the house concert only. We are partnering with Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel in Taneytown, MD., for those of you coming from a distance and wishing to attend both events. Antrim can be found at www.antrim1844.com

Rick’s Bio

Rick Galloway

At the age of 16, Rick Galloway, was introduced to recording studios where he cut his first demos “Change Your Life” and “Crying over You”.  Upon returning to Maryland in the late 60’s, Rick hooked up with several local musicians and began playing the pubs of Baltimore.  After working the local venues for several years, Rick took a break from live performances.  However, his love for music and song writing never diminished.  Rick is performing again, offering his “Roots, Inspirations and Originals” show.  It is an ever changing collection of songs that have become the foundation for his music.  It includes folk, Americana, blues and classic rock, mixed with originals from his cd’s “Listening to the Rain” and “Head of the Line”.
